What was originally planned to be a renovation project is now the construction of a new Tates Creek High School to replace the existing school. The project broke ground in June of 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2.5 to 3 years. The construction includes a new 358,018 new high school building which includes a tornado shelter in the basement as well as a 9,544 sf Fieldhouse including batting cages, public toilettes, and concessions for the softball and baseball program.
