D.W. WILBURN, INC.
D.W. Wilburn served as the general contractor of Great Crossing High School located on Betsy Way in Scott County, Kentucky. The high school, which cost $59 million, opened in the fall of 2019.
The main classroom building will be 232,000 sf with 40 state-of-the-art classrooms. The architect’s master plan includes a greenhouse, auditorium, art suite, science labs, pre-engineering labs, and IT labs. Because Scott County has experienced rapid growth in the 21st Century, future expansion on the lower level has been included in the architect’s design via the inclusion of unfinished support spaces and classrooms. Once expansion has taken place, Great Crossing High School will have a maximum occupancy of nearly 2,000 students.
